Tree Assessment; A discussion was held n the tree assessment work that needs to be done.  Trees will e trimmed, pruned or removed as needed.  Roger stated that the Tree warden has reviewed the plan and in is in agreement with work to be done.  Roger will check trees after trimming.  If the trimming is enough trees will not be removed.  A decision about planting replacements trees will be made at a later date.
Eino will walk the resign of the common fence though the Historic District Commission and get back to Roger.
Gazebo Repairs:  Necessary repairs to flooring have been done. Work will also be done to benches.
Electric Repairs are being done by Dan Haney.  He will fix junction boxes and gazebo outlets as well as other common fixtures.
Work Assignments: There has been conversation on what the responsibilities are for ground maintenance. The week of May 10th there were emails regarding a meeting that the Town Administrator wanted to have with Roger and Mark regarding the issue.  When Roger got to the meeting Gary Shepherd was there’re has well. It has been the understanding that we mow (cemetery & parks) and that Gary fertilizes mulches etc.  It has been proposed that the cemetery and parks crew when mowing the library and senior center would be under the direct supervision of Mark. Roger feels that we have more than enough work to keep the crew busy and perhaps we should not keep the mowing of the library and senior center on the work roaster.  Especially now that families are trying to cut out the funeral director when doing cremation burials (Fitchburg has had this problem).  John feels that if the department doesn’t continue to do grounds maintenance around town that this would be used as a reason to move ahead with a DPW.  However work would be done under the supervision and direction of the Cemetery and Parks Superintendent. The Commissioners also stated that complaints should come directly to the department and not via 3rd party.
Pam will work on a memorandum to clarify the department’s position.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30PM.
